Scientific Council

The Scientific Council formulates the scientific policy of the Institute; discusses issues related to the most essential results of fundamental and applied research carried out at the Institute; considers presentations of monographs, papers, reports and abstracts to publish; agrees plans and reports of research to implement; recommends IMP’s researchers to elect and re-elect to various positions; approves and comments doctoral and candidate's theses to defend; reviews the results of scientific sessions, contest for the award “Best Work of the Year”, and submitted reports on business trips abroad; encourages researchers to nominate them for prizes at various levels, launches research grants and scholarships for young scientists and graduate students, and others.

The Scientific Council is approved by the decree of the Presidium of the Ural Branch of RAS 14.11.2013 № 9-13. The Scientific Council includes 36 persons.
